25x’25 Vision: By 2025, America’s farms, forests and ranches will provide 25 percent of the total energy consumed in the United States, while continuing to produce safe, abundant, and affordable food, feed and fiber.

Guayule Tires

A collaborative team of
stakeholders have come together
to explore alternatives to traditional
rubber from hevea trees for tire manufacturing. The partnership includes Cooper
Tires, USDA-ARS, Cornell University, PanAridus, and Clemson University. They
identified the guayule plant as a promising alternative feedstock and they are
encouraging the industrial growth of the feedstock to support the domestic tire
industry.
